Nancy Condori writes about her daily experiences in the city of El Alto in her blog El Chairo [es]. Here she writes about a man who approaches her to propose something awful.
In this life there a tireless struggle for survival, and in this way, this has forced many women, close to 20,000 in Bolivia who turn to “prostitution” as one of the easiest ways to earn a little more money. In this way, women are considered to be sexual objects.
Maybe some of them do so voluntarily, but others are forces to participate in this work, and in some way they are tricked to enter this business because of job offers where one takes part without knowing what to expect. There are unscrupulous people who lie, especially to teenagers offering them jobs in other countries or places where they are taken to be prostituted, and the worst is that they do so in the worst conditions, without medical attention, exposed to all types of diseases.
